The rumors are true. After eight years of living in Chicago, I'm both excited and sad to share the news that the Forrests are moving back to my hometown, Kansas City... oh and in a week! I'm definitely looking forward to being closer to family and giving Cody (our pup) a proper yard, but I am going to miss Chicago and all of my wonderful friends here (a lot).

There's so much about Chicago that I'm going to miss it's hard to even put it in words or list out all of the reasons why I love it so much. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't holding back tears as I type this right now. But it's time for the next chapter and I'm excited to say now seems like just the right time.

I'm also thrilled to be sticking with GolinHarris working remotely in the same position I have now as a Senior Digital Manager. Ah, the joys of living in a very connected world! Everyone I work with has been more than supportive, except those threatening to slash my tires to keep me here. You know who you are...

Chicagoans: A stranger I will not be. In fact, you'll probably be sick of me asking if I can crash at your place over the weekend :) Please stay in touch! Tweets, e-mails, skype, Google Hangouts, Facebook, travel... no excuses! I won't have any for you either. Oh and if you know anyone looking for a 2 bedroom/1 bath condo, I might know of the perfect place for sale. Ahem, our condo (hint, hint).

Kansans: I'm going to need some help getting to know KC again - I'd love any suggestions for where to go and what to do for fun. Please get in touch if we haven't seen each other in awhile, too. I'd love to get reaquanited over coffee :)
